COLUMBIA, S.C. (WBTV/AP) – The forum in South Carolina Monday evening featuring the leading Republican presidential candidates will be without major player Texas Gov. Rick Perry, the governor’s press office in Texas confirmed.
A press office staff member said Perry will leave the state after a town hall with South Carolina Rep. Tim Scott, to return to Austin because of wildfires plaguing the region.
“He has been monitoring what’s going on from the road as well,” the staffer said by phone Monday morning.

Candidates with no substance and checkered pasts play the hero all the time. Governor Perry is off to “fight” the wildfires in his home state of Texas. I’m sure a few gullible people out there will even belive that Rick Perry himself will be standing on the front line with a fire hose and a rescue axe.
OK probably not, but I look forward to all the propaganda footage of Rick Perry doing absolutely nothing in his “emergency meetings” while FOX News tells us that he is going to save the day.

Rickster dodges the second debate, just like in Iowa. What is he going to do, take off his designer suit and pick up an axe and shovel?!
He is trying desperately to maintain his inflated numbers for as long as possible.
Just my opinion, but I think this guy is going to burn out fast, just like Giuliani did back in 2008. Rudy did the same thing, When everyone realized that he was a progressive hack, he started thowing out 9/11 ads and touted himself as a “tough guy”.
It didn’t work for Rudy, I doubt it will work For Slick Rick.
the Perry Puppet is dancing faster and faster
With the large prices of getting a mortgage and discovering a ten or 20% deposit is getting harder. As property prices begin to fall and folks discover them self with negative equity it make sense to just assume their mortgage. Why do we’ve to get one other mortgage if there may be already one in place. For the reason that buyer cannot promote the property because of the excessive exit prices and having no cash to payout the agent and banks it makes perfect sense to do a mortgage assumption. As soon as the market has come again up you simply need to refinace the house into your name.
