Despite polling third, Ron Paul again didn’t get as much time as the media anointed “frontrunners” but he did great with the time he had. Knocking his GOP rivals off balance with every response. Rick Santorum nearly threw a childish fit when Ron pointed out what our own CIA has been saying for years in regard to the motivation behind the 9/11 attacks.
After all these years years it still amazes me that people believe that terrorists “hate us because we’re rich and free”. As if our constant occupation in the middle east has nothing to do with the aggression displayed against us.
Right or wrong, our actions in the middle east have led to resentment across the middle east. We have occupied their holy land, and we did enforce an embargo against Iraq that resulted in the deaths of hundreds of thousands of people (mostly children under the age of five).
Sooner or later, Americans will have to wake up to this fact, Ron Paul is only stating the obvious when he says that there are consequences for the way we behave. Rick Santorum simply does not understand that.
